Well, it was fun getting dressed up anyway...

So I got all ready this morning and did my hair and put on makeup and made sure my homework was done for class and drove to class and walked all over campus to get to class only to get there and remember that class was canceled today...siiiigh.....Oh well, I just took some outfit photos as soon as I got home and then started in early on the dishes and laundry for today- how does that pile up so fast anyway?
I was really excited to wear these boots-I got them at walmart for three dollars and they kind of bag in the ankles-but they're very comfy and kept the rain off my feetsies for today! I also thought it was a perfect day to wear the trench I got for a quarter at a rummage sale-I love it! It's maybe a tad big, but I don't care!
Most people don't like gloomy days, and I admit it makes the photos turn out pretty badly, but I am in love with rainy gloomy days. It's cool and breezy and I like that there's no sun because sun usually gives me a headache (or so I've noticed as of late)
So I was thoroughly pleased with the day so far :)
Hope you are all having a great week-it's half over already!
Well, off to class in not too long-my children's theatre class-we're doing the three little pigs and I get to be the narrator-which is exactly what I wanted :D So I get to be all energetic and get the kids excited about the show-it's going to be awesome! I'm not sure when we start traveling to schools, but soon I think!
God Bless you and have a great day!

Hello all! Just a quick post as I have yet to do the dishes before the hubby gets home! Usually I do them everyday, but lately I haven't been feeling like it, so they've piled up quite ferociously. Hubby offers to do it, but I tell him that he works all day, so he shouldn't have to! Although, I've made him do them a few times...who likes doing dishes?! haha
Anyway, just went to class today and worked on homework. wore a nice comfy, slightly quirky outfit in my shirt that I'm pretty sure Joey Gladstone wore on Full House. Hey, maybe he did, I got it at a rummage sale! But it has these whimsical little triangles on it and is very comfy!

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.- Philippians 2:1-2

God bless!

WooHoo!

I feel so much better now. Sean and I went back to my home this weekend and came back with a bunch more of my clothes. I hardly have room here for them all, but I feel so much more myself with my clothes here! Which, now that I'm writing it out, actually sounds pretty sick... But anyway....I loved being at home for a couple of days and spending time with my parents-I was a little homesick earlier this month and it helped to be in my hometown for a while. Not to mention I got to go to a baby shower and hold the most darling little girl! That was probably the best part :)
Well, this outfit is pretty much a combination of every fashion item that I love-scarves, hats, vintage items, dresses, fun shoes-everything! I worried that it was a bit much when I left the house, but I was super comfy today and felt nice and colorful to match the GORGEOUS weather outside.
One class down and one to go for the day-then I'll have to work on some homework! I've already had to work on two webpages-now come on, I'm an education major, I can't make good webpages! oh well...
Hope you can all at least open a window to enjoy the beautiful air outside :) God bless!

Today's Verse:
Matthew 16:24-27 Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life[h] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.

I feel like I'm losing touch with any sense of fashion that I once maybe possibly ever had....I think part of the reason why is that I still don't have all of my clothes with me right now. I left all of my jackets at home and I can't believe how plain I feel without them! Plus it's getting chilly outside so I'm definitely going to be needing them soon. Luckily I'm going back to my house this weekend so I'll be able to get them-and I'll feel so much better! :) haha

John 3:21
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.

Got these butterflies from my parent's for a birthday one year-I LOOVE them! I'm kind of in love with butterflies..which is weird because I hate every other type of insect out there...! haha!

Today was a liiitle bit chilly, at least in the morning. Because of this, I sort of ended up looking like a dumpy little schoolgirl. But I haven't washed my hair in ages so the hat was necessary, and the weather warranted the cardigan-goodbye summer I guess and hello to fall!

I didn't actually mean to take such a long break from blogging this past week either-but I have good reasoning! This weekend I was at Lifelight-an amazing Christian Music Festival-it was a blast! I got to hang out with my mom and sister, and see some friends! So I didn't have computer access or fun outfits :)
Then when I got back, I didn't have a working camera...so there you go folks :) Hopefully when Sean and I get more settled we will take the time to pick out a decent camera to buy so I can be more consistent with my posts!

Today's verse:
John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

This would be my expensive student planner, which isn't nearly big enough for me. No place around this are sells a student planner! What is up with that? So I had to buy a spendy one at Target-but it serves its purpose I suppose.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Make sure to keep those whom you love in prayer-it is so important to give each other support in this way! I've been thinking a lot about that lately-God likes to talk with us every day!!
Love and blessings to you all!

Pink and flowers. And allergies.

It's been a few days since I've posted again. I got a bit of not so feel-good's the past few days. I thought at first it was a cold coming on, but then I realized that I had spent a good amount of time down in our mold-ridden basement putting in a washer and dryer (or rather, 'supervising' my hubby and his dad do the work) and decided that I'm having a sort of allergic reaction. To the mold. So now I wear a mask to do laundry :) oh joy! haha. But yes, I thought-what a great time for me to start feeling cruddy-the first week of classes! I am feeling better today, however so thank the good Lord for that!
Just a short post to touch base, nothing special. I kind of repeated the top half of my outfit between Sunday and today, just changed out the skirt for pants to go to class.

Today's verse:
Exodus 23:25
Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.

God Bless!

Washer and dryer!

Busy day! Sean and I were moving, rummaging, driving, loading, hanging out with friends and family, etc! Whew!
Sean helped a friend of his move into the dorms today while I did a bit more practical rummaging. There were like 15 rummage sales around town today-it was crazy!!! I only made it to like two though...which was sad. But the two I went to were pretty awesome!! At the first I went away with a little endtable to put by our couch-for a quarter!!! Only 25 cents baby! There was some green paint stuff on the top of it, but that came right off and now it's a perfectly good endtable! At the second sale it was like a vintage clothing treasure trove with everything for only a quarter each!!!! It was a good thing Sean called to say I had to come let him in the house (for he was keyless) because I could have really made a haul at that place. But I did come away with a BEAUTIFUL vintage trench coat in, you guessed it, my exact size. I was on a clothing high....I'm pretty proud of myself for not buying too much though-a trench is an essential piece of clothing for anyone's wardrobe in my opinion.
Ok, so that was only like an hour of my day. After that we went to get some lunch with the friends whom Sean helped move in and then we set off to another town to get a washer and dryer! The ones in our basement that the last tenants left didn't work, but we found someone who was giving away a washer and dryer together for $50!!! So we bought them. The laundry mat in town is ridiculously expensive and so we figured were saving over 200 dollars just by buying these, even if we have to leave them here when we possibly get an apt. someday. sheesh, I feel like I'm rambling....anyways it was a pretty busy week-but only to get busier with school starting next week! I should probably go buy some notebooks and pens or something...hmmm....

Here's just a little something to remember as well :D

1 Timothy 5:13-
Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to.

God Bless!
