Lifelight Day One

As I mentioned last week, my mother, sister and I braved the heat for a Christian music festival called Lifelight in our town this weekend. It's a free three day music festival that I've been going to since I was a kid. It has moved around the area a bit, but is finally in its permanent home in the middle of a field donated by one of the local residents. He donated his farmland for stages, parking, etc and it makes a great space for the event.
Unfortunately the weather was right around 100 degrees and humid. A lot of people, including my family got sick from the heat. We decided to come home early Saturday and luckily Sunday was a much nicer day to sit and listen to music :)

My sister, mother and I on our way to the festival!

I knew I had to wear something super casual and loose for such a hot day. My head stayed nice and cool in this thin scarf, and I was so glad I found these vintage Ralph Lauren shorts recently. They were the most comfortable thing to wear. Also, yeah this is probably the only time you'll see me in tennis shoes, savor the moment. I wear them to work, but I genuinely hate wearing tennis shoes. If only cute shoes could be comfy!

If you want to know how to tie your scarf like this, just follow my tutorial!

Luckily we had umbrellas to keep the sun off for a bit, and we drove back out in the evening to see a beautiful sunset :)

God Bless!
