Good Pants Come to Those Who Wait

A ratty, tied up shirt and some high waisted trousers are just the thing I want to wear in these last days of summer. I wore this on Saturday to run some errands and man is summer making use of all the heat it stored up these past few months! It has been such a nice, cool summer and now just as school starts we're cramped up in an un-air conditioned gym as the temps soar into the 90's. Greeeeat. I'm looking forward to it cooling down a bit, and soon!

I have wanted a pair of trousers like this ever since I pinned this and this while back. I was absolutely giddy when I found this pair at my hometown thrift store with POCKETS for $2.50! Can't get much better than that. I think my style philosophy over the past couple of years has become, "Good things come to those who wait." Anyone who thrifts or shops vintage will relate with me on that one. Sometimes it takes a while, but if you're diligent and know what you're looking for, the perfect piece will make its way to you someday!
When looking for trousers, I like to find a pair that hits right at the ankle.  That way they look a bit quirky and oh so 1950's.

Have a glorious day my friends!
God Bless,
KJA

I'll admit to being envious just a titch because I've been craving some houndstooth in my life (perhaps a pencil skirt?) but seriously, these look so great on you Katie.

Also, amen to that philosophy. I've come to the conclusion I'd really rather just have an idea of the items I want and keep an eye out for that perfect piece rather than buy willy-nilly.

Oh my gosh, Katie, these pants! THESE PANTS! These pants are AMAZING! What a fantastic find for a mere $2.50... it's purchases like that that make you want to keep searching from thrift stores, huh? Totally worth it! :)

Your hair is always so preeeetty... I want to grow mine out as long as yours. That's gonna be one of my New Years' Resolutions this year, yep: grow hair out as long as the beautiful Katie's.

Yikes! A hot gym doesn't sound like much fun. Hopefully you'll get some cooler temps up there soon!! It's sweltering down here, too. Just when I've gotta start walking around campus a ton, too!

Also, I'm glad you feel me with the blonde eyebrows problem, heheeeh! But I guess they do match our roots. You've got quite lovely-shaped eyebrows, I must say. Haven't really noticed them until now, but they're rather perfect! :D

I think we shall now refer to these as The Pants *_*
Lol, they're so cool! I just love the checkered pattern and how you rocked them. For 2.50? You can't beat that!

I am so jealous of your pants! I've been wanting a pair of classy houndstooth pants rather than the jeans or leggings I've been seeing in this print. You look fantastic.
