This is a first in a while-I'm actually blogging in real time! I used to post right on the day I took the photos, but since life got a bit more hectic I usually post a few days behind. Except today I wanted to show how crazy and snowy it is outside! It is basically blizzarding-heavy snow, lots of wind and cold as the dickens!
I was pretty crazy to go outside and take photos in it...if you look closely you can see how badly the wind is blowing the snow around. Yipes!
This vintage dress is one of the first I bought. It was one that first sparked my interest in vintage fashion. I loved everything about it: the belt, the shape, the construction. It even has really neat authentic tags in it, not to mention the fact that it fit me like a glove. I have worn it so many times, but somehow it never made its way onto the blog. I've worn it for banquets and things of that nature. I decided it was perfect for church this morning!
I wasn't about to take my coat off in this cold stuff, so I had Sean take some indoor shots of me. We have this old wooden chair we salvaged from the dumpster for a couple of our friends who want to have eclectic chairs around their dinner table. I love that idea! That way it is unique to your family and adds such style to the room. I definitely want to copy that idea someday when we get our own house :)
I adore that this dress has a pretty, soft pink lining in it. I love that vintage dresses come lined so that you don't have to wear 17 other garments underneath just to cover yourself up. Win!
My poor little bike. We had planed to put it in a friend's garage for the winter but haven't gotten around to it yet. Hopefully we will do that soon because blizzard weather probably isn't the best for it!
Well, time to snuggle with the hubs and stare out at the snow some more :)
God Bless!

I cannot believe how much snow is there! It's been raining and 60 here all week. Though colder at night. But jeez, I'm not ready for this degree of snow. Anyways, your coat is AWESOME. And you are one of the few people I know that can rock dresses with shapes like this.
ReplyDeleteAh man, driving home last night we had some intense flurries, but that's all they were - flurries. Today it was bitterly cold but perfectly clear and sunny out. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteHaha, anyway, love the shots you took in the snow - and I can't help but admire you for doing that! Haha, you look lovely as always girl :)

Ahh, so this is the magical dress that began it all! It's quite lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteNo snow flurries here--just rain and 70 degree weather, what?? But I hope that you'll stay warm up there! That coat looks like it does the job pretty well. :)
We had snow too! A LOT of snow! I'm excited about it though!
